The staff are amazing, it’s so unfortunate that they’re so underpaid and understaffed. I hope our healthcare system evolves quickly, while maintaining the amazing people who are carrying it.

worst hospital ever. had many bad experiences. One of them including my child yelling in pain screaming to help her and the nurse saying ok ok while doing nothing. My daughter vomited infront of the nurse and she said to get more bags if we want, didn't care to check the colour or help her out nor documented it. She gave tylenol and told her to wait in the waiting room while she was still screaming in pain. We went to another hospital afterwards and they told us it was weird how they didn't document the medication given on file or reported her vomiting. The worst worst hospital.

My family had the best possible experience at this hospital. I arrived by helicopter, in a coma having a brain bleed, and I was met with the absolute best care. I have been treated in many hospitals for my condition, but CHEO always stands out as one of the most personal experiences. From my attentive neurosurgeon to the compassionate nurses and thorough internist and ICU personnel, my family and I always knew that I was in excellent hands. Thank you especially to Dr. Nzau for taking the time to explain everything so thoroughly to my parents.
I awoke from my coma fluently speaking a language I barely knew, and I still recall laughing about it with my nurse.
At ten years old when my life was suddenly flipped upside down, the team at CHEO was incredible, and I'm so grateful for each and every one of them!
The best children's hospital!

I'm so beyond pissed off and disappointed. My Son had to be admitted a grand total of 4 times due to his medical condition. (A week and a half this admission) Each time it got even worse! Unit 5 east is nice and has some great nurses who care and do an beyond amazing job fighting for the kids but some doctors are arrogant, rude and extremely disrespectful. They don't properly document their charts! I showed my son's regular G-J feeding volume and rate 4 DIFFERENT TIMES with different doctors and dieticians even wrote it down and they still got it wrong! They didn't document every time he didn't tolerate his feeds. He hasn't pooped in 3 days and last night he had 2 big puking episodes while his oxygen destated even though my son is at HIGH RISK OF ASPIRATION! I used the call bell because he kept puking and they just cancelled it without even coming. They are in such a rush to free up a bed that they purposely ignore dangerous things. A doctor even refused to acknowledge his history. Only good thing I have to say is they got some beyond amazing nurses doing a better job then some doctors and they got a caring social work team. If something happens to my son due to his oxygen dropping too low I'll update and hold them accountable for their negligence. Oxygen destated to 68% and absolutely no testing is beyond irresponsible and dangerous. I'm not impressed by some incompetent doctors.
